Regional Agenda

VOICE East Midlands has a key role to play in the region, and is already starting to shape regional policy through a number of forums and committees.

We have been building relationships with other regional bodies, such as the East Midlands Development Agency, Government Office for the East Midlands and the East Midlands Assembly.

Over the coming months we will be increasing the level of support offered to our constituents, as well as establishing a baseline to measure future progress of the Black & Minority Ethnic (BME) Voluntary and Community Sector in the region.

Looking to the future, we will continue to consolidate and develop our relationships with other regional players in the East Midlands.

We are currently identifying a programme of activities designed to bring tangible benefits to the BME voluntary & Community sector within the region. This will also build upon the Action Plan we currently have with the Community Fund.

Joint plans are also expected with other Lottery / Community Fund distributors, as well as with the East Midlands Development Agency (emda), Government Office for the East Midlands (GOEM) and the East Midlands Assembly.
